Hi there!
Another week down - another article published. This past week was difficult for me pull the article together. Dare I say, it was a *miracle* I am even able to hit publish tonight. 🙏🏻
It would not have been possible without you all! And an extra special thanks to Mitchie for providing the key insight that helped this whole article come together.
This article is more technical than my first. The goal is to introduce a method for developing an understanding in a new area. Hopefully it's presented in a general and fun way.
As always, feel free to reach out with any feedback or thoughts 😅
By next Wednesday I will have a Curation Article up on the site. We are supposed to choose a core idea or thought leader. Then we pull together all the relevant links, prior works, and inject in some of our own thoughts.
My early intuition is to lean into my nerdy side and pick an analytics thought leader. Possibly Ralph Kimball - who wrote the book on dimensional data warehousing - or Tristan Handy - the creator of dbt.
Again, I wanted to say thank you so much for joining me in this journey.
This is roughly what you can expect each week from me. 1 email on Wednesday evening with the article and teeing up the week ahead.
Next week I may have another small ask of you all... and before you ask, it's not putting other people's email into the newsletter sign-up box. That's called SPAM! 👀

Peace my friends.

This week I've pulled together some of my favorite writing resources. If people cannot write well, they...
Hi friends, Thanks for being here! No preamble - just hope you're having a good day =) Let's get into it. Subscribe DPIM Framework Bundling better infra, people, models, and data A tweet lead me to ask what does better analytics infrastructure, models, data, or even people actually mean? The answer turns out to be "it depends" 🤷♂️ So I wrote out a framework to help you find what better looks like to you. Hi friends, I promised you that I would get the newsletter out each week, even if I wasn't able to hit publish on an article. Well - no article this week. To make up for it, I've stuffed extra Curated Columns in here.
